Sony Secure UK Rights For ‘Your Voice In My Head’ Starring Emma Watson

Emma Watson is set to star in Your Voice In My Head, this casting news broke towards the end of October but we can now confirm Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions have secured the international rights so the film will be getting UK release. Based on the novel by Emma Forrest’s bestseller based on her own life, the film is set in New York where principle photography will begin this month and filming will begin early 2014.

Emma 3Directed by Francesca Gregorini and with Emma Watson portraying lead character, also named Emma, a bi-polar English woman living in New York. Struggling in a cycle of self-harm and damaging relationships. When she finds support from her psychiatrist, she finds an anchor. When he saves her and helps her recover from attempt to take her own life she throws herself into work, exploring, writing and her new found love. But how will she cope when she calls to make an appointment to find her anchor and support has shockingly died, just as her relationship has fallen apart?

Along with the UK Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions have also secured rights for Australia, New Zealand, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and Latin America. Release is currently expected towards the end of 2014.

The actress best know for her work on the Harry Potter franchise has been expanding her portfolio recently taking lead roles in massive hits The Bling Ring, The Perks of Being a Wallflower as well as having supporting roles in This is the End  and My Week with Marilyn. She has also finished her work on Noah which is set for UK release March 28th 2014.

This role is very different from all of her previous projects, what do you make of the casting?
