Michael Fassbender Confirms His Return For ‘Prometheus 2’

Michael Fassbender has confirmed he will be reprising his role in the upcoming Prometheus sequel.

Fassbender, who plays android David in the first film, confirmed his return whilst promoting X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Although he said he was unsure when production was going to begin, it has been reported that Prometheus 2 will be released on 4^th March 2016 in the US.

No UK release date has been announced.

Although not confirmed, it has also been reported that the title for the sequel will be Paradise.

When asked if he is looking forward to working with director Ridley Scott again for the sequel, Fassbender responded; “For sure. I love Ridley. He’s a master filmmaker.”

It is also believed that Noomi Rapace, who played Elizabeth Shaw in Prometheus, will reprise her role.

Rapace has previously said that she met with Ridley Scott to discuss the possibility of a sequel, and that plot ideas were being looked into.

The screenplay for the sequel has not been written by Lost creator Damon Lindelof, who wrote the first film. Instead, Transcendence writer Jack Paglen has written the script and TV writer Michael Green has been hired to re-work it.

Prometheus has previously been criticised for leaving unanswered questions, which now the sequel will hopefully beable to answer.

Until 20^th Century Fox confirm or deny any of the information regarding the Prometheus sequel, we can only speculate about what the sequel may hold.
