War Has Begun in New Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Trailer
A decade after the release of a deadly virus, Caesar’s band of (damn, dirty) apes is threatened by a group of human survivors. The follow-up to 2011’s prequel/reboot opener, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, sees the genetically evolved species come to blows with the planet’s last remaining people in a war to determine the rulers of Earth. Andy serkis returns in all his mo-cap glory as Caesar along with Toby Kebbell and Judy Greer as apes in their first performance capture roles. Filling out the human characters are Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, Keri Russell and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes opens July 11 in the US and a week later on July 17 in the UK.
