‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Trailer Finally Premieres!

Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan filming ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’

It has finally arrived! The first full trailer for Fifty Shades of Grey has hit the web.

The trailer shows us Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele and Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey, in the long awaited release from Universal Pictures.

It also tells us that the film will include an exclusive version of Crazy in Love by Beyonce, which can be heard in the trailer.

Fifty Shades of Grey is the first book in a trilogy by E.L. James.

The trilogy has been described as ‘mummy porn’ and popularising a trend in bringing erotic literature to the mainstream. When the book was released in 2011, it became the fastest selling paperback of all time, and the trilogy has sold over 100 million copies worldwide.

This has contributed to the high anticipation and popularity surrounding the film, and the eager anticipation for the trailers release.

The first official poster for the film was released in January, with the tagline ‘Mr. Grey will see you now’, and the first still of Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey was released on 18th June.

After originally being cast as Christian Grey, Charlie Hunnam left production shortly before filming began, and has recently described his upset at having to drop out of the film due to scheduling conflicts.

Fifty Shades of Grey is directed by Sam Taylor-Wood, and in addition to Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, the film also stars Jennifer Ehle as Anastasia’s mother Carla, and musician Rita Ora as Christian Grey’s sister Mia.

Fifty Shades of Grey will be released on Valentine’s Day 2015.

I thought the trailer was great. But I wish they would stop calling it mommy porn

How do you describe it? I often see it labeled as ‘erotic fiction’.

I’ll sometimes say smutty romance. I’m ok with erotic fiction, though it depends on the person I’m talking to, erotic has a different meaning to many people. I like the definition that the sex is used to move the story. That is markedly different then porn which is sex to arouse. But, many use the terms interchangeably, particularly when they are trying to put something down.
