Quentin Tarantino has licked his wounds – that whole Gawker script leak business from earlier this year – and is finally ready to move ahead with his next film, the post Civil War set Western The Hateful Eight.  He confirmed at his panel at Comic Con that the film will be released next year, and now (courtesy of Collider) there is now a poster for the film.

Previously Tarantino has said he wants to shoot the film in 70mm (following on the heels of his friend Paul Thomas Anderson shooting The Master in the format), the poster confirms that as well as the old-school technique ‘Cinemascope’, and it will mostly be a ‘bottle’ film.  Here is the synopsis:

The Hateful Eight follows the steadily ratcheting tension that develops after a blizzard diverts a stagecoach from its route, and traps a pitiless and mistrustful group which includes a competing pair of bounty hunters, a renegade Confederate soldier, and a female prisoner in a saloon in the middle of nowhere.”

Though there’s no specific release date set yet, likely expect this to have a end-of-year holiday release.  The cast includes returning QT alumni: Bruce Dern, Samuel L. JacksonMichael MadsenKurt RussellJames RemarAmber TamblynWalton Goggins, and Zoe Bell.
