Daniel Radcliffe, who originally was going to appear at the San Diego Comic Con 2010 for the Harry Potter panel and had to pull out due to last-minute work on the movie, is finally coming to the convention this year, according to Deadline.

He will be appearing with director Alexandre Aja and writer Joe Hill to promote the upcoming black comedy/horror film Horns (based on Hill’s novel), which premiered last year at the Toronto International Film Festival.  The movie is about a young man, played by Radcliffe, who sprouts horns following the murder of his girlfriend (Juno Temple) which he is accused of having a part in.

The film received mixed reviews from critics upon its TIFF screening (one critic at ‘We Got this Covered’ noted, “A daring and intense performance from Daniel Radcliffe allows Horns to rise above its messy tonal shifts and silly second half”).  All the same, Radcliffe should likely be welcomed by his legion of fans at the convention, plus fans of Hill (who is actual the son of Stephen King).

If you’re going to the convention, this panel will be on Friday, July 25th, in Hall H at 3 PM.  Horns is due for release in the UK on October 31st, no date yet for the US (though the rights are with The Weinstein Company).
