Second Teaser for ‘Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ Online

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 has still yet to release an official trailer, which is due for release in November worldwide, but snippets are coming out.  First was this video, which was a video of President Snow (with Peeta by his side, played by Donald Sutherland and Josh Hutcherson).  Now, there is another video, only this time Snow’s address is cut off by a disturbance and another character.

For those who have read the book, this won’t look too unusual, and matter of fact was referenced by Katniss (who narrates all the books in first person).  In this video, President Snow – joined again by Peeta and as well Johanna Mason (Jena Malone) all in creepy bone white – is giving another of his official Panem propaganda addresses in the guise of a usual statement… but the video keeps getting interference, static, quick flashes of someone who looks like Jeffrey Wright (who played Beetee in the movies), and finally he appears to give his statement from District 13 – the spot of the rebellion – “The Mockingjay lives”.  That of course being you-know-who played by Jennifer Lawrence.

It’s a good way to keep audiences interested without giving away TOO much yet of what will be in the film, and fans will recognize that this will be likely a series of teasers now (or at least another, perhaps with Julianne Moore who plays the leader of District 13 in the film).  More on these as it develops.
