Disney Reveal Trailer And Poster Of Angelina Jolie In ‘Maleficent’
Promotion has now kicked off for Robert Stromberg‘s Maleficent, with a character poster for leading actress Angelina Jolie having been released yesterday. The film is based on the villain from classic fairy tale Sleeping Beauty. Better known by the Disney classic animation in 1959 than the written tale on which it is based, we can see Disney‘s revisit has a lot of parallels; in fact in this poster alone we can see the likenesses.
We also got the release of the brand new trailer today which you can check out below. The film tells the tale of how Maleficent came to have such a heart of stone. In a tale of betrayal and heartbreak she seeks revenge in the only way she sees fit, to curse new born Aurora, portrayed by Elle Fanning in the movie. Also starring Sharlto Copey and Juno Temple, this new tale, written by Linda Woolverton, is exciting news for every Disney fan out there.
